After three decades shaping landscapes across North America, Tahoe City-based architect Todd Mather has been inducted into the Inner Circle of Excellence. The recognition highlights his career in custom residential design, specifically his modernization of the traditional A-frame structure through his widely recognized Phoenix Rising project.
Mather’s career trajectory includes tenure at firms such as GDG and Walton Architecture, where he contributed to high-profile projects in the Martis Camp community. A graduate of the University of Utah, he holds licenses across five states and maintains a long-standing role as Chair of the Tahoe Basin Design Review Committee. Today, his practice integrates advanced 3D visualization, led by his daughter Daly Blue Mather, to refine the client experience. Mather continues to prioritize highly customized, environmentally grounded architecture over standardized industry practices.
