Lexington-based biotechnology firm Curis, Inc. has priced a $5.6 million public offering, targeting institutional investors to support the ongoing development of its emavusertib clinical program. The company is issuing over 3.7 million shares and accompanying warrants, with the capital earmarked for research activities and general corporate operations.

Proceeds from the sale will bolster the company's pipeline, specifically the development of emavusertib, a small molecule IRAK4 and FLT3 inhibitor. The drug is currently undergoing evaluation in the TakeAim Lymphoma and TakeAim CLL studies, aimed at treating relapsed or refractory central nervous system lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. The company also intends to utilize these funds to sustain its ongoing acute myeloid leukemia research.
