Cousins Maine Lobster Brings Mobile Seafood Concept to Des Moines

Franchisee Karan Singh is spearheading the regional expansion, leveraging his experience within the Cousins Maine Lobster system to navigate the local culinary landscape. The truck will operate across the greater Des Moines area, targeting community gatherings, breweries, and business districts to distribute its signature menu. The grand opening celebration takes place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 3610 8th Street SW in Altoona, featuring an appearance by company co-founder Sabin Lomac.

Attendees can expect a menu centered on authentic Maine-sourced lobster, including the chilled Maine Roll with mayonnaise, the butter-warmed Connecticut Roll, and a variety of sides such as clam chowder and lobster grilled cheese. The company, which gained national visibility after an appearance on Shark Tank, continues to grow its footprint by pairing premium seafood with the mobile accessibility of the food truck model. Customers can track the new truck’s location and pre-order meals through the brand's dedicated mobile application.
