Orvana Minerals Reports Q3 Results Amidst Bolivian Operational Delays

Civil unrest in Bolivia during May and June forced Orvana Minerals to revise its fiscal 2026 production guidance, as 53 days of strikes and road blockades delayed the startup of the Don Mario Oxides Stockpile Project by up to three months.

Orvana Minerals Reports Q3 Results Amidst Bolivian Operational Delays

The company reported that its new Bolivian Copper Cathodes and Gold-Silver Dore circuits entered a commercial ramp-up phase in August, following the resolution of logistical bottlenecks. CEO Juan Gavidia stated that the team is now focused on achieving stable production by September 2026. Due to the disruptions, the company lowered its annual production targets to 4,200–4,700 ounces of gold and 1.9–2.1 million pounds of copper.

Meanwhile, the Orovalle operation in Spain outperformed its previous quarter, producing 10,833 gold equivalent ounces. This 10% increase was driven by higher gold grades despite a slight dip in copper recovery. In Argentina, Orvana expanded its Taguas project by acquiring the Evelina property, effectively increasing its exploration footprint by 123%. The company plans to use data from its recent deep-drilling campaign and technical reviews to finalize priorities for the 2027 fiscal year.
