The capital infusion—supported by investors including Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits—marks a pivot toward industrial-scale production. CEO Peter Carr aims to capture a portion of the $12.5 billion air-to-water market by positioning the brand as a luxury, plastic-free alternative to traditional groundwater extraction. A1R Water Goes Public on Nasdaq to Scale Atmospheric Hydration
A1R water, a startup that extracts drinking water from atmospheric humidity, finalized its business combination with Inflection Point Acquisition Corp. III on August 14. The move, backed by a $96 million PIPE, shifts the company to the Nasdaq exchange where it will trade under the ticker symbol WATR beginning August 17.

Kevin Shannon, cofounder of Inflection Point, cited the company’s specialized technology and existing commercial footprint as key drivers for the investment. As a newly public entity, A1R water faces the challenge of scaling its infrastructure while competing in the established beverage category. The transaction follows a string of SPAC-led public listings managed by Inflection Point, which has previously taken companies like Intuitive Machines and USA Rare Earth to the public markets.
