Dando-Haenisch transitions to Populous following a twenty-year tenure at Grimshaw, where he managed high-profile transit and aviation developments. His extensive portfolio includes the Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal A, the LAX Airport Metro Connector, and the expansion plans for both New York Penn Station and DC Union Station. These projects emphasize a balance between functional operational requirements and the nuances of passenger experience.

In his new capacity, Dando-Haenisch will collaborate with Global Head of Aviation Tom Theobald and Western U.S. lead Corey Ochsner. Jonathan Mallie, Managing Director of the Americas, noted that the appointment aims to bolster the firm’s technical capabilities in a competitive sector. Dando-Haenisch holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Chicago.
