American Water Foundation Grants $75,000 for New Jersey Programs
The American Water Charitable Foundation has awarded $75,000 in grants to four New Jersey nonprofit organizations. The funding, distributed through the Keep Communities Flowing program, targets workforce readiness and STEM education initiatives designed to prepare both students and adult learners for long-term career success.

Additional funding supports community-based environmental and economic projects. The King’s Daughters Day School in Plainfield secured $15,000 to construct a rain garden, combining environmental education with hands-on water stewardship lessons for preschoolers. Meanwhile, the St. Joseph Social Service Center in Elizabeth received $10,000 to expand its workforce training services, which assist adult learners in acquiring the digital and professional skills necessary for economic mobility.
