Perimeter Medical Imaging AI Reports Q2 Gains Amid Claire Launch

Perimeter Medical Imaging AI narrowed its quarterly losses and scaled commercial operations as the company pivots from its legacy S-Series technology to the newly FDA-cleared Claire OCT system. The Toronto and Dallas-based firm reported a 31 percent sequential revenue increase for the period ending June 30, 2026.

The company’s financial trajectory reflects a deliberate transition phase. Perimeter posted approximately $503,000 in revenue for the second quarter of 2026, driven by recurring sales of consumables and maintenance services. This performance marks a significant recovery from the $385,000 recorded in the first quarter of the year. Operating expenses dropped to $3.1 million, a 28 percent reduction compared to the same period in 2025, contributing to a net loss of $2.6 million—an improvement over the $3.9 million loss reported a year prior.

CEO Adrian Mendes signaled that the company is shifting its focus toward the widespread adoption of its AI-enabled Claire device, which received its first commercial deployment at Intermountain Health. Following its April unveiling in Seattle, the company has begun replacing existing S-Series units with the next-generation Claire technology at top-tier hospitals. To support these infrastructure goals, Perimeter bolstered its liquidity through a series of capital raises, including a unit offering and the issuance of convertible debentures, leaving the company with approximately $6.4 million in cash as of June 30.
