Rznomics Secures Spot at Lilly Gateway Labs to Scale RNA Pipeline

South Korean biopharmaceutical firm Rznomics has secured a foothold in San Diego, joining Eli Lilly’s Gateway Labs innovation hub. This move grants the RNA-focused developer direct access to specialized wet lab facilities and a network of Lilly scientists, marking a strategic push to accelerate its global clinical infrastructure.

The partnership integrates Rznomics into the broader Lilly Catalyze360 ecosystem, which provides emerging biotech companies with research capabilities and strategic capital. Rznomics intends to leverage this proximity to refine its proprietary trans-splicing ribozyme platform, which currently targets a database of over 200 distinct diseases.

Beyond laboratory operations, the company is using the San Diego hub to recruit specialized R&D talent in the United States and deepen its international strategic alliances. Seong-Wook Lee, CEO of Rznomics, framed the entry as a critical milestone for the company’s RNA editing technology, emphasizing a shift toward active collaboration within the U.S. biotech sector. This expansion follows a 2025 research and licensing agreement between the two companies, which set the groundwork for developing novel RNA therapeutics before Rznomics’ KOSDAQ listing later that year.
