Legend Robot Targets Saudi Gigaprojects With Autonomous Spray Tech

At the Big 5 Construct Saudi exhibition in Riyadh, Legend Robot is showcasing a 3.3-meter autonomous robot designed to handle interior putty and latex application. The hardware, engineered for GCC climate conditions, aims to accelerate the aggressive construction timelines associated with the Saudi Vision 2030 development program.

The company’s mobile units have already logged field experience across regional developments, including high-rise finishing at Dubai’s DAMAC Hills and residential projects at DAMAC Lagoons. In Riyadh, the robots were deployed alongside Furnishing House at the Qiddiya site to standardize interior wall work while reducing the safety risks typically associated with manual high-altitude finishing.

Beyond safety, the machines emphasize high-volume output. During testing at the Qiddiya mock-up site, the system reached a spraying efficiency of 226 square meters per hour. To ensure reliability in the desert heat, the units feature sealed mechanical components and integrated thermal management systems. The robots are also calibrated for local procurement, with verified compatibility for regional coating brands like Jotun, Jazeera Green, and Caparol. By utilizing AI-driven path planning, the manufacturer reports a 15 percent reduction in material waste, a metric intended to appeal to contractors managing the scale of NEOM and other gigaprojects.
