CLO Virtual Fashion Settles Patent Dispute with Rival Style3D

Zhejiang Lingdi Digital Technology, the developer behind Style3D, has formally admitted to infringing upon three key patents held by 3D garment design leader CLO Virtual Fashion. The settlement, which concludes a legal battle initiated in 2023, validates the enforceability of CLO’s proprietary technology within the competitive digital design market.

The resolution centers on U.S. Patent Nos. 10,733,773, 11,410,355, and 11,222,448, which Linctex acknowledged were violated by its Style3D Studio software. While the financial specifics of the agreement remain under wraps, the admission marks a decisive victory for CLO, which has spent over 15 years building a global intellectual property portfolio spanning fashion, automotive, and VFX industries.

Simon Kim, CEO of CLO Virtual Fashion, framed the outcome as a necessary defense of creative labor in an increasingly digitized economy. The company, whose Marvelous Designer software recently earned an Academy Award for co-founder Jaden Oh, continues to prioritize aggressive protection of its research and development. By securing this acknowledgement of patent validity, CLO signals a firm stance against unauthorized use of its tools across international markets.
