Alebund Pharmaceuticals Reports Revenue Surge and Clinical Milestones

Shanghai-based Alebund Pharmaceuticals reported a 761% revenue increase for the first half of 2026, reaching 104.2 million RMB, as the renal-focused biopharma firm pushed its core drug candidates through key clinical stages and successfully completed its Hong Kong Stock Exchange listing.

The company’s financial performance was bolstered by a 79.3 million RMB licensing deal for its AP306 candidate with R1 Therapeutics and a doubling of sales for its commercialized anemia treatment, Mircera. Despite these gains, Alebund recorded a net loss of 162.6 million RMB, though this figure represents a 22.5% improvement over the same period last year as the firm scales its research and development operations.

Clinical progress remains the cornerstone of the company’s strategy. Alebund completed patient enrollment for the global Phase III trial of AP301, its lead phosphate binder, and saw its New Drug Application accepted by Chinese regulators in August. Simultaneously, the company initiated a global Phase IIb trial for AP306 and reported promising preclinical data for its IgA nephropathy candidate, AP308, which demonstrated near-complete clearance of glomerular deposits in mouse models. With its new Yangzhou manufacturing facility operational and a dedicated sales force in place, the company is positioning its infrastructure to support the eventual commercial rollout of its late-stage pipeline.
