Desrosiers moves from his role as Head of Infrastructure at RunPod, where he managed a global fleet exceeding 25,000 GPUs. At Shadeform, he will oversee the technical structuring of deployments, matching infrastructure needs with specialized operators from initial cluster design to launch.
Shadeform Taps Fluidstack and RunPod Veterans to Tackle GPU Shortages
As demand for AI compute continues to outpace available hardware, San Francisco-based GPU marketplace Shadeform is moving upstream. The company has recruited Caroline Teitelbaum and Jean-Michael Desrosiers to lead its data center and cloud infrastructure divisions, aiming to bridge the gap between fragmented power supply and deployable GPU clusters.
These hires represent a strategic shift for the three-year-old marketplace. While the platform previously focused on unifying existing inventory from providers like Nebius and Lambda, the new leadership will allow the company to actively source and develop infrastructure rather than simply acting as a broker for idle capacity. CEO Ed Goode noted that bringing this site-development expertise in-house enables the company to solve constraints that the broader market has struggled to overcome independently. By integrating these operational capabilities, Shadeform intends to transform raw, fragmented resources into ready-to-use compute environments for its enterprise and foundation model clients.
