The recognition highlights her two-decade commitment to leveraging tourism as a catalyst for sustainable community development and environmental stewardship across the Caribbean.
Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International, credited Clarke’s success to her ability to lead with purpose and a deep-rooted belief in local potential. The Skift IDEA Awards, now in their eighth year, selected Clarke following an evaluation by an independent panel of travel and hospitality industry leaders. For Clarke, the award represents a collective achievement, reflecting the success of partnerships between governments, nonprofit organizations, and the travel sector in building resilient Caribbean communities.
