The university’s "Multiversary" will bring the institution’s legacy directly to alumni and supporters in cities across the country.
University President Dr. Martin Lemelle Jr. described the initiative as a way to reaffirm the role of HBCUs in shaping future leaders and driving societal progress. The tour kicks off this September with stops in Grambling, Washington, D.C., New York City, and Dallas. Founded in 1901 after local farmers sought educational opportunities for their children, the institution now serves roughly 5,000 students under its enduring motto, "Where Everybody is Somebody."
