Sowell Management Launches Advanced Planning Group for RIA Advisors

High-net-worth clients increasingly demand the sophisticated, multi-layered expertise once reserved for private family offices. To meet this shift, North Little Rock-based Sowell Management has launched its Advanced Planning Group, a specialized resource designed to integrate tax, estate, and business succession strategies directly into its advisors' service platforms.

The new division will operate across both the Sowell Management and Cache River Private Wealth ecosystems. Led by Director of Advanced Planning Carrie Quraishi and Director of Tax Planning JR Quraishi, the group aims to provide advisors with the technical depth required to manage liquidity events, multi-generational wealth transfers, and asset protection. By embedding these capabilities, the firm intends to move beyond traditional investment management to offer a comprehensive suite of tools for affluent families and business owners.

Bill Sowell, founder and Chief Strategy Officer, noted that the expansion is a response to the growing complexity of client financial lives. The initiative aligns with the trajectory of Cache River Private Wealth, a division established in April 2026 to serve households with at least $5 million in net worth. This structural pivot reflects a broader industry trend toward consolidating specialized planning expertise to strengthen advisor-client relationships. As of June 2026, Sowell Management oversees over $6.9 billion in client assets, positioning this new group as a central component of its strategy to support advisor independence through high-level resources.
