Kroll Launches APEX to Quantify AI Security ROI

With global AI spending projected to reach $2.59 trillion in 2026, Kroll has unveiled APEX, a new platform built on CrowdStrike Falcon designed to help executives measure the financial impact of their cybersecurity investments before committing resources to automation or hybrid AI strategies.

Developed as part of the Charlotte AI AgentWorks ecosystem, Kroll APEX provides a framework for CFOs and CISOs to move beyond speculative spending. The tool evaluates specific cyber use cases by analyzing a client’s unique operational environment, financial inputs, and security needs. By identifying where human expertise, automation, or AI yields the highest return, the system aims to replace guesswork with data-driven prioritization.

Dave Burg, Kroll’s global group head of cyber and data resilience, noted that the platform shifts the corporate dialogue from whether to invest in AI to identifying where it delivers the most tangible value. The dashboard, embedded directly into the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, allows firms to refine their security strategies as organizational risks evolve. This partnership combines Kroll’s advisory methodology with CrowdStrike’s AI-native architecture, targeting a closer alignment between technical security initiatives and broader business objectives.
