The facility, which serves as a primary gateway for the region, successfully concluded a three-month trial period before entering full production.
Operational precision has been sharpened through integrated dimensioning and weighing, which achieves volume accuracy of ±10 mm and weighing accuracy of ±20 g in a single pass. Automation now accounts for 80% of the sorting workflow, confining manual labor to initial loading and specific exception handling. Jacqueline Chan, General Manager of GOFO Italy, noted that the upgrade allows the firm to scale alongside e-commerce demand without sacrificing speed.
