CME Group Opens Registration for 23rd Global University Trading Challenge
Registration is officially open for the 23rd annual CME Group University Trading Challenge, a month-long competition inviting students worldwide to test their skills in a high-stakes, simulated derivatives market. Participants have until September 29 to sign up for the event, which runs from October 4 through October 30.

Anita Liskey, Global Head of Brand Marketing and Communications at CME Group, emphasized that the program has engaged more than 40,000 participants over the last two decades. Last year’s competition saw record engagement with 615 teams and 1,800 students from 174 universities across 25 countries. The winning team in 2025 represented the Universidad de Monterrey in Mexico. Prospective participants must complete their registration by 5:00 p.m. CT on September 29 to compete in this year’s cycle.
