Curated by editor and stylist Carlos Nazario and hosted by industry authority Jenna Lyons, the project traces four decades of American design. The exhibition features a mix of archival pieces sourced directly from eBay and contributions from houses including Proenza Schouler, Tommy Hilfiger, and Willy Chavarria. Beyond the historical display, the initiative functions as a high-stakes digital auction, allowing collectors to bid in real time on September 9th.
eBay Launches Endless Runway Archive Ahead of NYFW
A trompe-l'œil dress worn by Winona Ryder during her 2002 trial and a crystal-embroidered Michael Kors slip dress are among the 150 rare garments headlining eBay’s upcoming retrospective, Endless Runway: The Archive. The exhibition, opening for New York Fashion Week, culminates in a live auction benefiting the CFDA.

The collection spans the evolution of American style, from 1970s liberation and the rise of sportswear to the grit of 90s grunge. Highlights include a Virgil Abloh for Louis Vuitton varsity jacket and Tom Ford-era Gucci pieces. By leveraging its global marketplace and Authenticity Guarantee, eBay aims to bridge the gap between museum-grade fashion and the secondary market, ensuring that iconic garments remain in circulation among a new generation of enthusiasts.
