Segway Navimow Debuts H5 Pro with Extendable Edge-Cutting Arm at IFA

The centerpiece of the H5 Pro is the EdgeMaestro™ extendable arm, which reaches 7.7cm beyond the mower's chassis. Equipped with omnidirectional floating functionality, the arm maintains steady contact with the ground even on uneven terrain, while a Rake Module pulls grass inward to ensure a clean cut. The system integrates the same primary cutting disc used for the main lawn, avoiding the inconsistencies often found with secondary attachments.

Beyond edge performance, the H5 Pro utilizes the Xero-Turn™ All-Wheel Drive system to tackle slopes up to 80%, or 38.6 degrees. Navigation is managed through the EFLS™ Tri-fusion system, which combines LiDAR, Vision, and NRTK dynamic positioning to adapt to complex garden layouts. Safety remains a priority, with PanoGuard 360° detection and thermal infrared sensors designed to identify and protect small animals like hedgehogs.

Navimow has formalized its commitment to wildlife protection by partnering with the German non-profit Igelhilfe Schulzendorf e.V. This collaboration includes financial support and joint product testing to refine AI-driven animal detection. Users are also encouraged to designate "wild corners" in the Navimow app, allowing homeowners to preserve habitats for local fauna. With noise levels capped at 58 dB(A), the H5 Pro aims to balance industrial-grade performance with the needs of residential garden environments.
