Guardio’s growth reflects a fundamental shift in the digital threat landscape. While traditional antivirus software focuses on device health, modern scams increasingly target human behavior through personalized phishing, deepfake voice calls, and brand impersonation. Guardio differentiates itself by monitoring cross-device activity—including email, calls, and web traffic—to intercept threats before they reach the user.
Guardio Hits $1.1 Billion Valuation as Consumer AI Threats Surge
With AI-driven cybercrime causing $20.9 billion in U.S. losses last year, consumer security firm Guardio has reached unicorn status. A new $40 million funding round brings the Tel Aviv-based company’s total valuation to $1.1 billion, fueled by four consecutive years of triple-digit growth and over one million paying customers.
Amos Peled, CEO and co-founder, argues that outdated software leaves individuals vulnerable because it fails to account for the democratization of cybercrime. By lowering the cost and skill required to launch sophisticated attacks, AI has turned the average consumer into a primary target. Guardio aims to bridge this gap by providing enterprise-grade security to the general public. The fresh capital, supported by Wiz CEO Assaf Rappaport and ION Crossover Partners, will be used to expand the company’s protective suite as it scales to meet the needs of millions more users.
