Founded in Seoul in 2002, the brand built its reputation on a specific pairing of specialty coffee and elaborate cakes. The Alexandria menu will highlight signature items like the Strawberry Chocolate Cream Cake—a trademarked best-seller with over 3 million units sold annually—and the Ice Box Cake, which sees sales exceeding 6 million units each year. Beyond these staples, the cafe is introducing localized Korean-inspired beverages such as the Dalgona Cream Top, Black Sesame Latte, and a multi-grain Misugaru Frappe.
South Korean Coffee Chain Twosome Place to Open First U.S. Cafe
South Korea’s premium cafe brand Twosome Place is launching its first American location in Alexandria, Virginia, this October. Situated at 404 King Street in the city's historic Old Town, the 2,604-square-foot space marks the beginning of a larger strategic expansion into the United States for the 1,750-unit chain.

The location will accommodate 78 guests, including outdoor seating options, and will operate as an all-day destination. The food program includes fusion offerings like K-Toast with bulgogi and egg, K-Chicken Panini, and a Bibimbowl. CEO Jay Moon described the move as a milestone in the company’s 25-year history, aiming to replicate the hospitality and quality-focused culture that defined their growth across Korea. Following the mid-October debut in Alexandria, the company plans to launch two additional U.S. sites as part of its broader growth strategy.
