Resonant Clinical Solutions Acquires Creapharm Bioservices

Resonant Clinical Solutions has acquired France-based Creapharm Bioservices from Myonex, marking a strategic expansion of its European biorepository and cryogenic storage network. The move aims to bolster the company's ability to handle complex clinical programs, specifically those involving sensitive cell and gene therapy trials requiring specialized temperature-controlled environments.

Based in Bailly-Romainvilliers, the acquired facility provides high-end biobanking services, including vapor-phase nitrogen storage down to -196°C and strict GMP-compliant quality control. This integration arrives as the pharmaceutical industry shifts focus toward advanced modalities, which now represent nearly half of all global clinical trial starts. By absorbing Creapharm’s technical infrastructure, Resonant gains localized expertise in managing genetically modified organisms and sensitive biological assets across European markets.

Resonant CEO Christophe Berthoux noted that the acquisition aligns with a broader strategy to manage more of the clinical trial lifecycle under one global umbrella. While Myonex offloads the business to focus on its own core operations, Resonant adds the French team’s specialized capabilities to its existing portfolio, which already manages over 100 million research assets. Financial details regarding the transaction remain confidential.
