Braun Launches OptiBrew Line to Bring Coffeehouse Versatility Home

Braun Household is expanding its kitchen footprint with the launch of the OptiBrew line, a series of drip coffee makers designed to replicate café-style menus. By integrating advanced temperature calibration and specialized frothing tools into a slim, 6.75-inch-wide frame, the company aims to modernize the traditional morning pot.

The new lineup, which includes the flagship OptiBrew Pro, leverages Braun's proprietary ExactBrew technology to automatically adjust brewing time and temperature for optimal flavor extraction. Unlike standard machines, the series avoids pod-based systems, allowing users to brew everything from a single 8-ounce cup to a full 12-cup carafe using standard grounds. The Pro model further distinguishes itself with an integrated whisk frother for hot or cold milk and a dedicated 'Coffee Shot' setting designed for latte and cappuccino enthusiasts.

Beyond technical precision, the design focuses on reclaiming countertop space. The machines feature a 24-hour programmable timer and a warming function that maintains carafe temperature for up to four hours. The OptiBrew Pro is currently available for $199.95 in the U.S. at major retailers including Amazon and Target, while both models are available in Canada. According to Eliza Woolston Sheffield, President of De'Longhi North America, the goal was to provide high-end beverage flexibility without the complexity or clutter typically associated with multi-appliance coffee setups.
