A 110-acre manufacturing site is rising in Coolidge, Arizona, as Clark Pacific moves to triple its production capacity. By shifting construction to a controlled factory environment, the company aims to bypass traditional industry hurdles like labor shortages and volatile costs while accelerating delivery for large-scale commercial projects across the Southwest.
The facility is currently under construction, with a final completion date slated for spring 2027. To maintain momentum, the company has already begun manufacturing building components in a temporary facility. This expansion marks a strategic push to serve the Mountain West, complementing the firm’s existing operations in Woodland and Adelanto, California.
Off-site manufacturing serves as a hedge against the unpredictability of traditional job sites. By delivering structural systems ready for immediate installation, the company reduces on-site labor requirements and project risks. Co-CEO Donald Clark noted that the move is designed to minimize site disruption while meeting the accelerated timelines of modern developers.
The project is already reshaping the local employment landscape, having filled 30 initial engineering and manufacturing roles with plans to add 70 more by the end of the year. Local leaders, including Greater Phoenix Economic Council head Christine Mackay and Arizona Commerce Authority president Sandra Watson, highlighted the facility as a significant economic catalyst for Pinal County, emphasizing its role in bolstering the region's manufacturing infrastructure.
