The Muse SSD utilizes a precision-machined metal unibody and a PogoPin magnetic interface, allowing it to attach seamlessly to MagSafe-compatible iPhones via the SnapLink Magnetic Cable. Despite its card-like profile, the drive reaches read speeds of 1,050 MB/s and write speeds of 1,000 MB/s, supporting direct 4K ProRes recording at 120 fps. Lexar plans to release the drive in 512GB and 1TB capacities by the fourth quarter of 2026.
Lexar Debuts Muse Ultra-Slim SSD and AI Storage Tech at IFA 2026
Marking its 30th anniversary in Berlin, Lexar has unveiled the Muse Ultra-Slim Portable SSD, a device designed to minimize mobile workflow clutter. Measuring just 3.8 mm at its thickest point, the drive leverages magnetic connectivity to integrate directly with high-end smartphone setups for professional content creators.

Beyond consumer hardware, Lexar is utilizing IFA 2026 to showcase its AI Storage Core. This initiative centers on new Gen5 SSDs and storage sticks capable of 11 GB/s bandwidth. By incorporating a self-developed Storage Processing Unit and Luma Bridge technology, these components aim to reduce DRAM requirements by 40% while handling large-scale AI models. The company is also pivoting toward specialized commercial sectors, introducing high-endurance flash storage specifically engineered for continuous video recording in electric vehicles.
