UST Acquires Majority Stake in Italdesign to Drive Automotive AI
The automotive landscape is undergoing a fundamental shift toward software-defined vehicles, prompting UST to acquire a majority stake in Italdesign from the Audi Group. Vijay Padmanabhan, Chief Financial Officer at UST, emphasized that the investment focuses on Italdesign’s reputation for translating bold concepts into tangible products. Meanwhile, Italdesign CEO Antonio Casu confirmed that the firm will maintain its operational independence and brand identity.
