Autoliv Launches Human Body Model Suite for Virtual Crash Testing
Toyota has become the first automaker to adopt Autoliv’s new Human Body Model Safety Suite, a platform designed to simulate complex crash scenarios. By shifting from physical dummies to detailed digital anatomy, the system aims to provide deeper insights into injury mechanisms while accelerating vehicle development cycles.

"Virtual testing is becoming an increasingly important part of how the automotive industry advances vehicle safety," said Fabien Dumont, Chief Technology Officer at Autoliv. The company intends to broaden access to the suite throughout 2026, positioning the technology as a critical complement to physical testing as global safety regulations and consumer rating programs shift toward virtual validation methods. By translating complex simulation data into actionable engineering insights, the platform seeks to optimize safety solutions while simultaneously improving cost efficiency for manufacturers.
