Rönesans Marks 11th Year in Global Top 50 Contractors List
For the 11th consecutive year, Rönesans has secured a spot among the world's top 50 international contractors, according to the 2026 rankings from Engineering News-Record. The firm’s sustained presence on the list highlights its ability to navigate volatile global markets while exporting Turkish engineering expertise worldwide.

Dr. Erman Ilıcak, President Emeritus of Rönesans Holding, attributes the firm's longevity to its adaptability during periods of economic instability and geopolitical shifts. The company’s portfolio includes high-stakes engineering feats such as the Lakhta Center in Russia, the Gotthard Base Tunnel in Switzerland, and the Gaasperdammertunnel in the Netherlands. Beyond individual projects, the company has expanded its European footprint through strategic acquisitions, including the purchase of Dutch firm Ballast Nedam and Germany’s Heitkamp, reinforcing its competitive position against the world's largest construction firms.
