Celebree School Unveils Rigorous Certification for Early Educators

While state licensing sets a baseline for childcare, Baltimore-based Celebree School is now mandating an additional internal certification to ensure classroom readiness. The new program, Celebree Certified, moves beyond standard onboarding to require verified proficiency through hands-on coaching and performance evaluations before an educator leads a classroom independently.

Celebree School Unveils Rigorous Certification for Early Educators

The initiative, which is already active in corporate locations and slated for a systemwide franchise rollout in early 2027, addresses the gap between basic legal qualifications and actual classroom efficacy. By implementing a structured 30-day journey known as The First 30, the company combines orientation with immersive mentorship and real-time leadership feedback. Teachers in development must complete a rigorous regimen that includes 20 days of direct in-class coaching and at least five hours of weekly leadership support to reach certification.

Lisa Bricker, Chief Talent Officer at Celebree School, noted that the program aims to provide families with tangible assurance regarding the quality of care their children receive. For the organization, the certification serves as a scalable talent model designed to standardize classroom quality and improve long-term educator retention across its network. Founded in 1994, the company currently operates under the Huffman Family Brands umbrella, positioning this new internal benchmark as a core component of its strategy to meet rising demand for high-quality early childhood education.
