The Southport Corridor has secured a new design destination as custom rug retailer Ernesta opens its eleventh national showroom at 3530 N. Southport Ave. This Midwest expansion targets a growing local demand for bespoke home furnishings, offering both residential clients and interior designers a dedicated space for hands-on material consultations.
Chief Sales Officer Jennifer Parker noted that Chicago was a logical choice for the firm’s growth, citing the city’s deep-rooted appreciation for tailored home design. Since its 2022 founding, the company has prioritized a rapid delivery model, promising custom pieces in roughly two weeks. The new storefront, operating seven days a week, continues a rapid expansion wave that recently included openings in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Virginia.
