The company’s recent success, marked by a US$61 million estimated retail sales value, highlights a transition in how institutions monetize history. Rather than merely applying imagery to products, ARTiSTORY employs a strategy centered on Story, Scene, and System. This framework translates archival material into consumer experiences, ranging from high-street retail activations—such as the award-winning British Library and CHAGEE tea collaboration—to digital integrations within mobile gaming.
ARTiSTORY Redefines Cultural Licensing Through Brand Strategy
Securing four honors at the 26th International Advertising Institute Awards and debuting on the License Global Top 60 list, ARTiSTORY is shifting the cultural IP sector. The firm moves beyond simple asset licensing, focusing instead on building living, contemporary brands from heritage collections through systematic narrative integration.

Central to this expansion is the LIHUO IP Operation Management System, which earned the IAI Award for most valuable platform. By automating the complexities of rights management and product development, the system supports over 20 cultural organizations and 40 brand partners globally. As Chief Marketing Officer Zoe Liang Liu notes, the objective is to ensure cultural integrity remains intact while heritage assets evolve into sustainable, market-relevant brands that resonate with modern audiences across borders.
