This regional rollout follows the company’s 2025 entry into Saudi Arabia, targeting specific economic needs ranging from digital transformation to essential remittance lifelines. In Bahrain and Oman, the infrastructure supports national agendas like Oman Vision 2040, while in the UAE, the service aligns with the National Payment Systems Strategy to bolster enterprise and consumer transaction speeds.
In regions heavily reliant on cross-border inflows, the expansion serves as a critical financial channel. Lebanon, which receives approximately $7 billion annually in remittances, will now support mobile wallet payouts. Similarly, South Yemen, where remittances account for over 38% of GDP, gains access to bank and cash pickup options. In Syria, the introduction of cash pickup locations provides a necessary bridge for financial access as local banking systems undergo reconstruction.
