Veteran Technician Patents New Dent-Pulling Tool

After four decades in auto body repair, a San Jose technician has developed the BOW 900, a patent-pending device designed to streamline the removal of dents from doors, fenders, and quarter panels, addressing the persistent mechanical frustrations and procedural delays often encountered by collision repair professionals in the shop.

The tool focuses on delivering targeted, high-intensity pulling force to damaged vehicle surfaces. By simplifying the structural repair process, the design aims to reduce the time spent on panel restoration. The developer, whose prototype and technical schematics are currently prepared for review, intends for the device to serve as a standard utility for collision centers and independent technicians alike.

The concept is currently being managed by InventHelp, which is facilitating potential licensing agreements or outright sales to automotive equipment manufacturers. Interested parties can access further technical specifications through the firm’s Pittsburgh headquarters or by referencing file number 25-ACC-710.
