Dr. Trudy Golub-Sowers Honored with 2026 ACCSC Commitment to Education Award
Dr. Trudy Golub-Sowers, Clinical Director of Veterinary Technology at Platt College’s Riverside campus, has been named the 2026 recipient of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges' Commitment to Education Award, a national honor recognizing her long-term impact on student success and the veterinary field.
Beyond her classroom duties, Golub-Sowers has focused on measurable outcomes, specifically supporting students through the Veterinary Technician National Examination. Her efforts have contributed to improved first-time pass rates for graduates. She also serves as a bridge to the workforce by securing new externship placements at emergency and equine hospitals. By maintaining a weekly clinical practice, she ensures that her instruction remains grounded in current patient care, while her volunteer work with the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association provides students with additional field experience in underserved communities.
