Adyen Integrates Payment Infrastructure with Guidewire Marketplace

Adyen has joined the Guidewire Marketplace as an approved global payment partner, providing property and casualty insurers with a unified platform for processing premiums and claims. The integration aims to replace fragmented regional payment setups with a single, end-to-end financial infrastructure spanning more than 570 insurers worldwide.

The partnership allows insurance carriers to manage the entire transaction lifecycle—from automated premium collection to claims payouts—within their existing Guidewire core systems. By utilizing Adyen’s proprietary banking licenses and integrated stack, insurers can incorporate varied payment methods, such as cards, ACH, and local options, while automating recurring billing and reconciliation processes.

Adrian Davis, Managing Director of Financial Services & Insurance at Adyen, noted that the platform’s value lies in its ownership of the underlying financial infrastructure rather than acting as a mere software layer. This approach is designed to increase payout speeds and reduce transaction failures across global markets, including North America, Europe, LATAM, and APAC.

Beyond processing, the integration introduces centralized reporting and built-in fraud protection powered by machine learning. The solution also employs advanced tokenization to secure sensitive card-on-file data. Because the integration is standardized, it is designed for deployment by internal IT teams or external Global Systems Integrators, with full availability slated for 2027.
