Nanoscope to Present Four-Year Durability Data for MOGENRY
Patients treated with the optogenetic therapy MCO-010 continue to maintain visual acuity gains four years after administration, according to upcoming findings from the RESTORE Phase 2b/3 trial. Dr. Christine Kay is scheduled to share the long-term follow-up data at the 59th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Retina Society in Los Angeles.

Beyond the RESTORE trial, Nanoscope Therapeutics is expanding its optogenetic platform. The company reported positive results from the STARLIGHT Phase 2 study for Stargardt disease and intends to launch a Phase 3 registrational trial for that indication in 2026. With additional programs in geographic atrophy and Leber congenital amaurosis, the firm is leveraging its proprietary multi-characteristic opsin technology to address a wide range of retinal degenerative conditions without requiring genetic testing or invasive surgery.
