The event, dubbed Max vs 100, transformed a temporary Silverstone circuit into a high-stakes gauntlet. Under race rules, drivers were eliminated the instant Verstappen drew his kart alongside theirs. The chaos began immediately: within two minutes of the start, the Dutchman had surged to 37th place, leaving 63 competitors behind before they could even complete a single lap.
While a lead group—including journalist Jacky Martens, YouTuber Zac Alsop, and technician Lewis Osler—built a 12-second buffer, it proved insufficient against the F1 champion’s pace. Verstappen clawed back three seconds per lap, eventually dispatching Alsop and Osler in a single corner before overtaking Martens for the win. By the end, Verstappen had averaged one overtake every 21 seconds and set a blistering fastest lap of 2m 20.673s.
