JC Evensen, president of Eucalyptus Resources, characterized the cancellation as a desperate maneuver by the current board to retain control. The firm claims that TNR Gold management is actively flailing to avoid accountability for the company's long-term poor performance. Prior to the cancellation, Eucalyptus notified the British Columbia Securities Commission regarding what it describes as intimidation tactics. According to the firm, TNR’s legal advisors sent aggressive letters to shareholders, baselessly alleging a conspiracy among those who publicly supported the Eucalyptus campaign on social media.
Eucalyptus Resources Challenges TNR Gold Over Meeting Cancellation
Over 46% of TNR Gold shareholders have signaled a desire for leadership change, prompting the company to abruptly cancel its September 22 annual meeting. Eucalyptus Resources, the firm spearheading the push for new board nominees, now seeks a British Columbia Supreme Court order to force the vote and preserve shareholder rights.

Eucalyptus Resources maintains that simply voicing support for a proxy contest does not constitute illegal joint action. With the company’s share price stagnant until the June 2025 push for new leadership, the board now faces mounting pressure to address the grievances of its base. Investors affected by the correspondence from TNR’s legal team are being directed to the Laurel Hill Advisory Group for guidance as the legal dispute moves toward the provincial supreme court.
