The daily 14-hour stream, running from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. PT, showcases the nursery environment where these dogs begin their training to eventually assist individuals with disabilities. The event also features a guest appearance from the iconic character Snoopy, who will visit the facility to highlight the rigorous preparation required for service work. Beyond the digital feed, Canine Companions is hosting a series of #PuppyNation community events across the United States to encourage local volunteerism and public engagement.
Canine Companions Launches Nine-Day Puppy Cam for Service Dog Month
To mark National Service Dog Month, the Santa Rosa-based organization Canine Companions is launching a nine-day livestream featuring a litter of future service dogs. Running from September 22 through September 30, the broadcast offers a rare look at the early development of Labrador and Golden Retriever puppies.

CEO Paige Mazzoni noted that the initiative aims to bridge the gap between public interest and the realities of service dog training. The organization, which provides expertly trained animals to recipients at no cost, relies entirely on donations and a network of volunteers to sustain its operations. Interested viewers can access a free digital kit for exclusive content or find regional in-person gatherings through the organization’s website, canine.org.
