Veridian Healthcare Acquires ScarScience to Expand Dermatology Reach

Veridian Healthcare has finalized its acquisition of the ScarScience brand from Mitchell-Vance Laboratories, integrating a specialized line of silicone-based scar treatments into its growing portfolio. This move allows the Illinois-based distributor to penetrate deeper into plastic surgery, dermatology, and physical therapy markets across the United States.

Veridian Healthcare Acquires ScarScience to Expand Dermatology Reach

Founded in 2008, Mitchell-Vance Laboratories developed ScarScience into a recognized name for medical-grade silicone sheets and topical serums. By absorbing these assets, Veridian gains a proven product suite designed to improve scar texture and appearance. Veridian CEO Robert Friedberg noted that the acquisition aligns with the company’s broader strategy of leveraging its distribution infrastructure to scale proprietary health brands. For Mitchell-Vance, the transition provides access to Veridian’s extensive retail and e-commerce networks, potentially broadening the brand's consumer reach. Jessica Rowen, president of Mitchell-Vance, emphasized that the partnership maintains the quality standards established by her firm while utilizing Veridian’s resources to support future product growth.
