The latest findings from the Center for the Future of Arizona suggest a widening gap between political messaging and voter expectations. Citizens across the state are signaling a desire for leaders who prioritize problem-solving and demonstrate a clear capacity for progress. Dr. Sybil Francis, CEO of the Center for the Future of Arizona, noted that voters have already defined their desired outcomes and are now waiting for candidates to present credible, step-by-step plans to achieve them.
Arizona Voters Demand Action Over Campaign Rhetoric
With the 2026 General Election looming in Phoenix, statewide research reveals that Arizonans are losing patience with standard campaign positioning. Instead of abstract platforms, voters are demanding concrete, actionable plans from candidates to address the state's most pressing long-term challenges and community-level priorities.

This demand for accountability is nearly universal, transcending traditional party lines. A full 93% of surveyed voters insist on direct opportunities to hear candidates address key issues, a figure that holds steady at 94% among Democrats, 94% among Republicans, and 91% among independent voters. By focusing on these priorities, the Arizona Voters' Agenda aims to shift the election discourse toward the practical solutions that residents expect their future leaders to deliver.
