Hainan Airlines Secures 15th Consecutive SKYTRAX Five-Star Rating

At the 2026 World Airline Awards in London, Hainan Airlines once again secured its status as a SKYTRAX Five-Star carrier. The distinction, held for 15 consecutive years, underscores the airline's consistent performance in service quality and product innovation, cementing its position within the global industry's top ten rankings.

Beyond the Five-Star designation, the HNA Aviation Group subsidiary captured top honors for Best Airline in China and Best Airline Staff Service in China. The carrier also earned recognition for Best Business Class Airline Comfort Amenities, while placing fourth in the World's Best Cabin Crew category. Chairman Zhu Tao accepted the accolades, emphasizing that the awards reflect both workforce dedication and shifting passenger expectations in a competitive international market.

To maintain this trajectory, the airline is aggressively expanding its global footprint. Its network now spans five continents, featuring over 70 active or scheduled international and regional routes. Domestically, the carrier has optimized its Premium Express and Free Trade Port Express networks, while streamlining ground operations across major hubs including Beijing, Shenzhen, and Shanghai Pudong. These improvements extend to 41 departure points outside mainland China, facilitating more efficient connections for business travelers.

The brand’s service philosophy relies on three pillars: the DREAM lounge experience, the HAI ground-service efficiency suite, and the CARE humanized travel program. Complementing these operational upgrades, the airline has revamped its in-flight dining, notably partnering with IHG Hotels & Resorts to bring regional culinary traditions from Xi'an to its premium menus. By integrating Eastern cultural elements with modernized service protocols, Hainan Airlines seeks to further solidify its international standing while supporting the growth of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
