Lundbeck is relocating its US headquarters from Deerfield, Illinois, to Greater Boston, marking a strategic pivot toward the region's dense life sciences and AI ecosystem. The Danish pharmaceutical firm aims to accelerate its neuroscience pipeline and digital capabilities by integrating its operations into the Massachusetts biotech corridor over the next year.
CEO Charl van Zyl noted that the move is designed to scale existing opportunities in neuroscience, particularly as the company deepens its investment in data analytics and artificial intelligence. While the relocation process will unfold throughout the coming year, leadership emphasized a commitment to retaining current staff and ensuring operational continuity.
