The EN175/8.0 leverages Envision’s established Model T platform, which has already seen 4,000 orders and 1,500 installations globally. By incorporating sixth-generation low-noise aerodynamics and in-house manufacturing for gearboxes and generators, the company aims to boost energy yield by up to 12% depending on environmental factors. The turbine reaches a sound power level of 107 dB(A), with additional configurations available for cold-climate and icing-prone regions.
Envision Energy Unveils AI-Powered 8 MW Onshore Wind Turbine
At the WindEnergy Hamburg exhibition, Envision Energy introduced the Model T – EN175/8.0, an 8 MW-class turbine designed for medium-wind-speed sites. The unit integrates a 175-meter rotor with autonomous AI control systems, marking a shift from individual machine performance toward broader, plant-wide energy optimization.

Central to the turbine's functionality is the Galileo autonomous optimization control, powered by the Tianji Weather and Dubhe Energy foundation models. This architecture allows the hardware to adjust to real-time atmospheric data, bypassing traditional static control rules. Beyond individual output, the system is designed to interface with solar and storage assets, enabling operators to manage power grids with greater frequency and voltage stability. Senior Vice President Lou Yimin noted that the focus has moved beyond mere turbine scale, emphasizing that future value lies in the intelligent integration of renewable assets into a cohesive energy ecosystem.
