The integration allows BDO Alliance USA members to incorporate Kintsugi’s platform directly into their existing ERP, billing, and ecommerce systems. By automating tax calculations and filings while maintaining a human-in-the-loop verification process, the service seeks to reduce the administrative burden that typically plagues growing businesses. Tom Takasaki, Practice Leader for the BDO Alliance USA’s Business Resource Network, noted that the move is intended to provide members with a competitive edge through advanced, forward-looking resources.
Kintsugi Joins BDO Alliance USA to Automate Sales Tax Compliance
San Francisco-based Kintsugi has secured a spot in the BDO Alliance USA’s Vendor Marketing Program, aiming to provide member firms with AI-driven tools for managing sales tax, VAT, and GST. This partnership grants independent accounting and consulting firms access to real-time nexus monitoring and automated multistate filing services.

For Kintsugi, the collaboration serves as a strategic channel to reach a wider network of professional services firms. CEO and Co-founder Pujun Bhatnagar emphasized that the platform is designed to shift tax compliance from a reactive, audit-prone process to one of real-time visibility. Through the partnership, accounting firms gain access to the Kintsugi Portfolio, a centralized dashboard that enables them to monitor tax exposure and compliance status across their entire client base without the constraints of lock-in contracts.
