Michael Consoli, an Atlanta-based travel advisor who has topped Viking’s global sales charts for a decade, has been named the godfather of the new Viking Sekhmet. The designation celebrates his influence on the river cruise industry as the ship prepares to launch its Nile River itinerary this November.
The Viking Sekhmet, an 82-guest vessel, is designed specifically for the company’s 12-day Pharaohs & Pyramids route. The ship features 41 staterooms and an indoor-outdoor Aquavit Terrace, providing guests with access to historical sites across Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan. For Consoli, the role represents a career pinnacle, linking his professional legacy to one of the most significant destinations in the cruise line's portfolio.
