Farmington Hills-based technology provider Coretek has earned the ISO/IEC 42001 certification, becoming one of the first global firms to achieve the international standard for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems. Coretek Secures ISO/IEC 42001 Certification for AI Governance

As businesses shift from experimental AI pilots to full-scale operations, the demand for standardized oversight has intensified. The ISO/IEC 42001 credential serves as a benchmark for managing the entire AI lifecycle, encompassing human oversight, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation. For Coretek, this certification formalizes the protocols used to support clients across the Microsoft Azure and security ecosystems.

Chief Operating Officer Michael Swiencki noted that the certification proves the company applies the same disciplined governance to its own internal operations that it recommends to enterprise customers. Chief Security Officer Tyler Hopperton added that the standard ensures rigorous oversight remains embedded throughout the development process, providing clients with a verified layer of accountability. By aligning with these international requirements, Coretek aims to provide a stable foundation for organizations navigating the increasingly complex regulatory landscape surrounding artificial intelligence.
