David Borde has stepped into the roles of president and CEO at Entergy Texas, effective October 5. He succeeds Eliecer Viamontes, who leaves the regional utility provider to pursue other professional opportunities. The leadership transition marks a shift for the company as it navigates evolving regulatory and customer demands.
Before his tenure at Entergy, Borde built a career in finance and law, working in the investment banking division at Citigroup USA and practicing as an attorney at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. He holds a Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law and a business degree from the University of Paris. Drew Marsh, chair and CEO of Entergy, noted that Borde’s experience in regulatory affairs and utility finance will be instrumental in maintaining the company’s commitment to reliable and affordable energy across its service territories.
